VSCode window pane shortcuts

Navigation

Cmd + 1/2/3/... creates or focuses the Nth horizontal pane

It also supports Origami shortcuts:

• Cmd + K + arrows: move current editor group (file + recent files) to another pane
• Cmd + K + Cmd + arrows: focus another pane

Creating/destroying panes

• Cmd + 1/2/3/... creates vertically split panes
• Cmd + K + W closes all editors in the group

Focusing panes

• Cmd + J: Toggle bottom pane
• Cmd + B: Toggle left (primary) pane
• Cmd + K + E: Open editors in left pane
• Cmd + K + Cmd Z Zen mode
• Cmd + K + Cmd + M: Toggle maximizing current pane
• Cmd + Shift + E: Focus explorer pane
• Cmd + Shift + G: Focus git pane
• Cmd + Shift + T: Focus terminal
• Cmd + Shuft + U: Focus output pane

Resizing panes

• Cmd + Ctrl + up/down: resize terminal
