Obsidian plugins that don’t alter the experience in a major way or have a steep learning curve. These are just nice quality-of-life improvements and features present in competitor products.
- Iconize: Notion-like folder and file icons in the file tree. I’m using it for decorating my top-level folders.
- Folder note: Allows a Notion-like hierarchy where a folder is a page in itself.
- Emoji shortcodes: Turns emoji shortcodes (
:book:) into real emojis - Natural Language Dates: Insert links to daily notes via
@yesterday,@last wednesday, etc. - Lapel: Shows a marker next to each heading to quickly distinguish between heading levels
